Please join us at 10:30 AM on Thursday, November 22 for our forty-second annual Thanksgiving Day service! Everyone--and we mean everyone--is welcome.
At this service, we will be hearing from President Bush through the reading of his Thanksgiving Proclamation, and hopefully one from Ohio Governor Ted Strickland. We will also hear 2007 edition of the Thanksgiving Lesson which is read at Christian Science churches and societies around the world. Also, testimonies will be given by Christian Scientists which are appropriate for the occasion.
Christian Science is unusual in that not many other denominations make Thanksgiving Day as central a part of their church calendar. In our church, the Thanksgiving service occupies a special place which a Christmas service frequently fills in other Christian denominations. (As Christmas Day falls on a Tuesday this year, there will not be a church service on that holiday.) So come on out! We will have you home in time for that big meal or big game you look forward to in the afternoon.
