Visitors to the fifth annual Heart of Centerville Hometown Holiday Walk, on Sunday afternoon, November 18 from 1 until 5pm, can not only enjoy the sights and sounds of the holidays as they visit the shops and restaurants in downtown Centerville, they can also hear a talk, “Your Spiritual Life – Truly Wonderful Now."
Keeping with the theme of this year’s Hometown Holiday Walk, “It’s a Wonderful Life," the free, one-hour talk at 2pm, will offer a healing message exploring how prayer helps individuals see beneath the surface of everyday life to discover their spiritual basis. The speaker will be Kevin Gruanke, CSB, a national speaker for the Christian Science Board of Lectureship. The talk will be held in the main auditorium of First Church of Christ, Scientist, 100 South Main Street, Centerville. Child care will be provided during the talk.
As a member of the Heart of Centerville, the Christian Science Reading Room and Bookstore, also located at 100 South Main Street, invites the public to park in the spacious lot adjacent to the church during the Hometown Holiday Walk. The parking lot is an easy walk to other shops and restaurants.
